These blades are 60mm (2.3/8") wide and 2.4mm thick made from high carbon steel with a 25° bevel. High carbon tool steel is relatively easy to sharpen and hone using conventional methods. A final wipe on a strop produces a very fine edge. A sharp blade is a joy to use. Faithfull replacement plane blades also fit other standard bench planes No. 4.1/2, No. 6 and No. 7; from Stanley, Record, Footprint and other similar Bailey type bench planes. Note: These Faithfull blades represent excellent value for money. A little work sharpening the blade will be most rewarding.
