A fast-growing climber and popular garden plant. The clematis is well-known as a staple climber for any wall, trellis or fence. The Clematis ‘Polish Spirit’ is a medium-sized variety with mid-green foliage and rich, deep purple single flowers with textured outer sepals which bloom from mid-Summer through to the beginning of Autumn. A great choice for a more subtle Summer colour to contrast with brighter hues. Plant in moisture-retentive, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun. Prefers some shade as warmer Summers and direct sunlight for long periods may cause leaf scorch and fade the flowers colour. Keep the root and plant base cool and shaded.
