A variety of Lupinus with very intense and colourful flower spires, the Lupin ‘Terracotta’ is a hardy herbaceous perennial shrub with upright, rigid stems which stand tall above the foliage and carrying dense flower spikes of rounded, red, pink and yellow blooms which carry a mild, pleasant scent. The foliage beneath is compact and mounded, with palmately divided, narrow, light to mid-green leaves providing modest groundcover. Plant in moderately fertile, moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Prefers neutral to slightly acidic soils. Avoid waterlogging, especially in Winter as this may cause root rot.
