No need to check these birds into your hotel! Your furry friends will have a blast staying the night! This 'Love Birds' Hotel is a luxury place for the wild garden birds that come to stay to give them a home away from home. With a 'Love Birds' sign above the 'door' and a 'Welcome Love Birds' sign, you will soon have a que waiting to get in. Manufactured from wood, this heavy duty nesting station will last for many years to come giving your visitors a place they will love coming to for a break of flying. You can either place this on a table or hang from a tree with the metal hanging hook that comes attached. These should be fixed a minimum of 2 meters away from the ground in a quiet place of your garden, away from predators. Preferably site the box with the entrance hole facing between north and east, this avoids the worst of the weather and prevents the box and its inhabitants becoming overheated in the sunny weather. Place rose cuttings or any thorny material on the roof of the box to discourage cats, if you do place this on a tree, make sure there is no overhanging branches for cats to gain easy access to the house. After the breeding season (March-August) clean your bird house by removing any nesting materials then using hot water, scrub the box throughout.
